Gava – Villa C01 – AC architecture

The project is located in a residential area with a plot of over 1000 m2, with a north border towards a pine tree forest towards which the pool in oriented.

The concept lies in a compact volume which evolves naturally from the natural daylight orientation, generating dynamism and in the same time strength and transparency.

The layout is distributed on two levels, the day zone on ground floor and the night zone on first floor, a more intimate and secluded area. The day zone is designed to be a completely open and diaphanous space, with translucent partitions that orient you towards the exterior terrace with the pool. The terrace on the first floor gives the opportunity of enjoying the Mediterranean climate and the views. The element that unites all the spaces is the translucent staircase, which permits the natural light to flow throughout the entire house. This effect is achieved with a skylight in the roof above the staircase and a glass flooring in between the two levels of the house.
